Anmari Kicza

 

My name is Anmari Kicza. I have been a kindergarten teacher in Vermont since 2006 and have also taught up to third grade and K-6 Art in different states and internationally. I have bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education, and my educational background includes elementary education, writing, art education, and literacy specialist. While I am passionate about early literacy and outdoor education, I enjoy all areas of teaching and learning with young students. I feel lucky to be around their energy and curiosity and to witness so many firsts and important steps in their learning.

I live in a neighboring town on a hill in the woods with Ben, who is also a teacher, and our teenage son, two dogs, and some chickens. With my family, I like to travel, find good food, go to museums, and spend time outdoors. When I'm home, I enjoy working in my yard, walking the dogs, cooking, or curling up with a good book. I am happy to join TES for the 2025-26 school year!
