Kate Hill

About the Teacher: 

Hello, I am Kate Hill, one of the first and second grade teachers at Thetford Elementary School. My students and families call me Ms. Kate. 

I have been working as a teacher in Vermont since 2006 and started my time here at TES in 2017. I have always taught in a multi-age classroom, and most of my years have been teaching first and second graders. I graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a dual degree in Psychology and Education, and participated in their teacher licensure program while there. I earned a Master's Degree in Education from Southern New Hampshire University. 

I enjoy being a Thetford resident who teaches within our community school. It gives me lots of opportunities to see the students of TES outside of school and to make strong connections across school and town. I live with my husband and my two teenage sons, who both now attend Thetford Academy. We also have a very friendly dog and cat. As a family we enjoy lots of sports, camping, and board game playing. I also love reading and cooking for fun!
