Kate Hill

Program

Ms. Kate’s Frogs have enjoyed a great 2021-2022 school year so far! Every day they are eager to develop their reading, writing, and math skills. Some favorite science units have included learning about changes that occur on Earth and understanding Light & Sound. This spring they can look forward to learning about Animal Sciences. In Social Studies we focused on Family Traditions and are looking forward to learning about how communities meet our needs. Across our year we focus on what it means to develop a growth mindset and what persistence looks like.

About the Teacher:

My name is Kate Hill and I have been a multiage classroom teacher in Vermont for fifteen years. Most of my teaching has been in a combined first and second grade classroom. I have been teaching at TES for five years. I live in Thetford with my husband and my two boys. One of my sons just graduated from TES and will be headed to Thetford Academy in the fall, my younger son will be in fourth grade next year at TES. I grew up locally and attended Thetford Academy in high school. I graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 2004 and returned to the Upper Valley shortly after. My family and I can often be found around town, on the sports fields, or enjoying Thetford’s outdoor spaces. I enjoy running, reading, and photography.
