Lauren Lacasse
About the Teacher:
My name is Lauren Lacasse, and I'm a part of the 3/4 teaching team! I was raised in Thetford and attended Thetford Elementary School as well as Thetford Academy. I currently reside in Thetford with my husband, our two children, and our dog. My son just started his student career at TES! Our family enjoys camping, visits to museums (especially Science and Children’s museums), gardening, and being outdoors as much as possible.
I graduated from Siena College in Loudonville, NY with a BA in Environmental Studies. I earned my MA in Environmental Education from the University of New Hampshire and completed my teacher training program through Upper Valley Educators Institute. I have been in education for over ten years. This is my second year teaching at TES.
I try to incorporate place-based and project based learning into the classroom curriculum as often as possible. I love using our forest classroom space as an extension of our classroom curriculum. I really enjoy teaching reading and helping children build their love of reading. Every day is an adventure in our classroom!
