Sue Rogers
About the Teacher:
My name is Sue Rogers, aka, “Mrs. Rogers.” I teach Kindergarten and believe that I have the best job at TES! I live in town with my husband, and I have two grown children who attended TES when they were young. I also have twin granddaughters who are in kindergarten this year, but not at TES. I love spending a majority of my time outside in nature. Some of my favorite outdoor activities are walking, hiking, camping, biking, snowshoeing, back country skiing, snowboarding, and cooking over a fire! When I am inside I like to cook, read, paint landscapes, draw, make jewelry, listen to music, and talk (with whoever will listen to me).
I earned my K-6th teaching degree from Johnson State College with a concentration in Psychology. I have been at TES since 1994, and hope to continue teaching here for several more years.
About the Classroom:
Our class spends time in our Outdoor Classroom everyday, (except for in below zero temperatures). Our Outdoor Classroom is an important part of the kindergarten curriculum. When you take children outside, special things happen: their natural curiosity takes over, and their love for playing brings out essential skills such as working together/collaborating, problem solving, sharing, and cooperating. Life should be full of fun when you’re five and six years old, so I try to keep learning fun for my students!
