Sarah Despins

Hello Thetford Community.

I am no stranger to working with all ages of elementary children. For over twenty years, I have taught at the elementary level at Blue Mountain Union School, and from 2020-23, I co-directed a month-long summer outdoor day camp in Corinth for children ages 4-13!

I grew up north of here in Ryegate, graduated from Lyndon State College, and furthered my education at Southern New Hampshire University.  I live in Groton with my husband and rescue dog, Cali.  My grown child, Oliver, lives on her own a few miles from us. For fun, I enjoy spending time with family, attending local events, and being active in different ways… tennis, kayaking, skiing, biking on any rail trail, or walking with Cali are all ideal. I feel it's important to reduce, reuse and recycle to make the world a better place for the future generations.

Thetford Elementary School's common values of being safe, kind, and responsible align with my personal beliefs and classroom expectations. I look forward to working together with the TES staff, families, and the 5/6 students. Together, we can be life-long learners who find education important by connecting to the world around us.

In Education and Togetherness,

Sarah
