Colin McLaughlin

About the Teacher:

Colin McLaughlin has taught elementary school for the past eighteen years, the last nine of which have been at Thetford Elementary School.  He has taught nearly all elementary grades over the course of his career, but is now a fifth and sixth grade teacher at TES. After earning a Masters of Science degree, he started teaching with a focus on integrated curriculum and project based learning in upstate New York. Colin and his family made their move to Vermont in 2013 and never looked back.  In addition to being one of Thetford’s fifth and sixth grade teachers, Colin spends most of his time outside of school being a dad. His three young daughters keep him busy making meals, helping with homework, and driving them around the Upper Valley. Whether fishing, backpacking, or working in the garden, Colin loves spending time outdoors and working around the house.
