Occupational Therapy

Faith Drescher, Occupational Therapist

faith.drescher@oesu.org

My name is  Faith Drescher. I am an OT in schools. I grew up with parents who were teachers. OT in the OESU provides level one certification in Handwriting Without Tears (HWT), Ayer’s sensory integration (ASI), and SIPT certification. The program is designed to provide just the right amount of challenge to improve students' functional skills. Each student has an individual  assessment and a plan with goal-attainment scaling to ensure that the therapy each student is receiving is producing the desired result. As an occupational therapist, I have worked in SNF hospitals, out-patient clinics, in-school programs, and in early intervention programs. I enjoy biomechanics and neuroscience studies. I am certified in the US, and licensed to provide services in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Florida. I am a member of NHOTA, VOTA, NBCOT and AOTA.

Historically, I have used small animals to enhance the therapy time with the children. I enjoy working with people and helping them achieve their goals. Outside of work, our family runs Twee Farms, where we have a variety of chickens,  dwarf goats, and chinchilla rabbits. Our family enjoys hiking, skiing, snowboarding, swimming, rock climbing, biking, art, cooking, travel, and  movies. We are a family of five enjoying the seasons, New England maple syrup, and the quiet, peaceful life.
