Physical Education
About the Teacher:
Philip Chaput, (known by students as “Mr. C.”), first started at TES in December of 2008 as a long-term substitute teacher in Physical Education. Mr. C. loves to teach kids how to move their bodies, work collaboratively, and try new skills. He enjoys being a part of his students' movement journey from Kindergarten through sixth grade.
Mr. C. is a graduate of Husson College (2008), where he earned a B.S. in Physical Education, and Castleton University (2019), where he earned his M.S. in Athletic Leadership. He is certified in CPR/ AED/ First Aid as well as CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention). Mr. C. has also served on the executive board, and as president of SHAPE-VT, which promotes Physical Education and Health education locally and nationally.
Outside of school, Mr. C. enjoys the outdoors, camping, and sports. He also works at Thetford Academy as the varsity baseball coach. He lives in Hartford with his wife and two daughters.
